Capital Markets Attorneys
We are seeking highly qualified Capital Markets junior-level / mid-level associates to work out of our Toronto office. All candidates will have 2 - 4 years (classes 2022 - 2024) of capital markets experience, currently licensed and in good standing with the New York state bar, currently have Am Law 100 firm experience, and currently or previously had experience in the U.S. who wants to ultimately move to Toronto. We expect all associates to have experience in IPOs, debt-equity offerings, at-the-market (ATM) offerings, private investment in public entities (PIPEs), SEC compliance and disclosures, corporate governance compliance, and general ‘34 Act reporting. Associates with experience dealing with financial, energy, technology, and/or life sciences sectors are a plus. Superior academic credentials and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required. The starting base salary for this position is expected to be between $235,000 to $310,000 annually.

Education
All candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and graduated from one of the top 50 U.S. law schools, top Canadian law schools, top U.K. law schools, or top international law schools.
Work
All candidates must have worked for a well-known law firm unless noted otherwise in the job description.

Compensation
The annualized salary range for all positions is $225,000 - $435,000, based on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience permitted by law, e.g.; (education, training, and responsibilities). The total compensation package for all positions will also include competitive bonus, health and dental insurance (including spouses and children), life and disability insurance, paid vacation, 401(k) eligibility, paid time off benefits (sick and parental leave), a possible hybrid work environment with technology allowance, and possible reimbursements for moving expenses, bar review courses, bar examination fees, and bar association dues. Salaries for counsels and partners could be outside of the annualized salary range of $225,000 - $435,000, based on experience and responsibilities.
