We have an immediate need for a highly qualified and motivated mid-level/senior-level associate to join our Executive Compensation Practice Group at our Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 8 years (classes 2018 - 2023) of executive compensation and benefits experience, helping clients design, implement, and ensure the compliance of employee benefit plans and arrangements with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, the Affordable Care Act, and other federal statutes affecting such arrangements. The candidate will be responsible for drafting welfare plans, including group health plans, cafeteria plans, and wellness plans, as well as qualified pension, profit-sharing, and non-qualified retirement plans, along with support in mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions. All candidates must have experience with respect to institutional investment and fiduciary matters arising under Title I of ERISA, including with respect to the "plan asset" rules and Venture Capital Operating Company (VCOC) and Real Estate Operating Company (REOC) structuring. Superior academic credentials and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required. Texas State Bar is required.
